Your Electrical Professional Team
About Powering Arizona
Who we are and what we do
The Powering Arizona Team consists of craftsmen of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and their signatory contractors—including those who are members of the National Electrical Contractors Association, supported by the electrical training ALLIANCE. Read on to learn more about us.
For customers, the Powering Arizona team brings excellence to the job and an assurance that your electrical contractors and their craftspersons will:
- Perform with the special knowledge and experience matched to your project;
- Reduce accidents and injuries and, in turn, reduce costly delays;
- Eliminate callbacks and limit change orders; and
- Avoid emergencies that bust budgets, or incidents that turn into legal issues.
For anyone looking to enter the electrical industry, the Powering Arizona team–through the electrical training ALLIANCE–offers one of the largest apprenticeship and training programs in the United States. Over the last 70 years we have trained more than 350,000 apprentices to journeyman. In addition to hands-on training, the ALLIANCE offers coursework that closely parallels a traditional college curriculum. A variety of educational institutions allow apprentices to gain college credit for completion of electrical training ALLIANCE courses. The program includes the recognition and transfer of these credits toward two- and four-year degrees. If this sounds like something you like, reach out to learn more about us and get to know how Powering Arizona can make a difference in your life.

Why pick a career as an electrician?
Employment of electricians is projected to grow 14 percent from 2014 to 2024, much faster than the average for all occupations. The route to an electrical career is via apprenticeship. Electrical apprenticeships combine college-level learning with on-the-job training.
